About Ian
"Hi, just a few words to introduce myself, My name is Ian, and I have been a Driving Instructor for several years now. For many years I worked as a skilled Engineer but as I got older I decided to turn to skills to something completely new. I have always enjoyed driving, and often clocked up thousands of miles every year, so it seemed like an obvious choice to make it my career.
As for my work ethic, I am always punctual and reliable and like to ensure every lesson is as enjoyable as possible. All my lessons are conducted in a relaxed manner as I like my pupils to feel at ease. As every pupil has different learning abilities I adapt lessons accordingly. I do however, try to ensure that something new has been learned by the end of each session. One of the main attributes of a Driving Instructor is patience, and as many of my pupils will testify, I have an abundance of patience and understanding.
If you have been putting off starting lessons due to lack of confidence, let me assure you that within only a few hours of tuition you'll wonder why you'd ever worried in the first place! Don't worry, I would never put you in a situation i.e busy town traffic, until we both felt confident that you were ready. Step by step I will instill confidence in you and before you know it your red 'L' sticker will be replaced with green 'P'.
Trust me, together we'll get you there and what's more I am confident you will actually enjoy the experience.

Ian's working hours are 8am-8pm, Monday to Friday and 8am-4pm Saturday.
About the Car

The car you will be learning to drive in is a brand new Ford Focus 1.6. It has a range of safety and comfort features, including power steering for easy maneuvering, driver's air bag, air conditioning and pollen filters. It also has the most important safety feature for any learner driver - Dual controls. This means that if you make a mistake, Ian will be able to brake for you in an emergency. This is an essential safety feature, that many cheaper driving instructors do not provide. The car has plenty of head and legroom, with adjustable seats to fit learner drivers of all shapes and sizes. The car also has a five-star Euro NCAP rating, and has been proven to be the easiest car to learn to drive in.
